I think it's about time that I cut in. At this point, I consider you family, but you may be wondering who's behind the planning of KNOWN Live. Well, the answer may surprise you.
It's not me. It's our community.
You see, community is at the core of every single thing we do.
After spending more than a decade in corporate, working in some of the most coveted Fortune 500 boardrooms in the country, I met, counseled and coached countless black women and women of color professionals who harnessed brilliance, but weren't empowered with the opportunities to show their true value and expertise as innovative thought-leaders in business and industry.
As a result, there was a direct impact to organizational engagement, productivity, profitability, retention and effectiveness.
The word "known" gets a bad reputation, but we aren't talking about being known in a superficial sense that glorifies likes on social media at the expense of everything else.

I firmly believe that by empowering black women and women of color professionals By using your voice and gifts as a foundation, we can strategically create a profitable brand that aligns with authentic purpose and turns into greater impact, effectiveness and engagement.
After a year filled with uncertainty, many women leaders have had time to reflect on what will make them best engage authentically in life and career. There is a wealth of genius and new found perspective waiting to be unlocked in black women and women of color leaders. It's time for us to make a bigger impact in our organizations and business to build a legacy that lasts.
